World Products returns for second season as
title sponsor of IMCA’s Empire State Series
RONKONKOMA, N.Y. (May 23) – The 2008 season will be World Products’
second as title sponsor of the Empire State Series for IMCA Modifieds.
The Ronkonkoma, N.Y., manufacturer will award a set of assembled
steel cylinder heads to the champion and furnish the $1,500 point
fund to be paid to top 10 drivers in standings for the series, which
opens this weekend at Skyline Raceway.
Ten more tour dates are scheduled, at Woodhull Raceway, Thunder
Mountain Speedway, Brewerton Speedway, Utica-Rome Speedway, Fonda
Speedway, Fulton Speedway, Caprara’s Can-Am Speedway and Five Mile
Point Speedway in New York, and at Redline Raceway and Penn Can
Speedway in Pennsylvania.
World Products also returns as sponsor of national rookie of the year
award programs in the IMCA Modified, Sprint Car and Stock Car
divisions, and as a regional sponsor for Modified and Stock Car
rookie awards.
The national Modified, Sprint and Stock rookies of the year all
receive sets of assembled steel cylinder heads. All five Modified
regional rookies of the year and both Stock Car regional rookies of
the year earn $100 gift certificates, good toward the purchase of
steel cylinder head sets.
All drivers competing in series events or for rookie of the year
awards are required to display two World Products de cals on their
race car to be eligible. Rookie of the year candidates must also
complete a reg istration form and return it to the IMCA home office
by Aug. 1.
