Mother Nature claims the night at Cornwall Motor Speedway
Cornwall, On – Sunday, June 1st, 2008 – Martin Bélanger – It was supposed to be, meet your favorite driver night plus a complete racing program tonight at Cornwall Motor Speedway but Mother Nature had other plans.
With all the rain received during the weekend in the Cornwall area and also the bad weather on this Sunday, promoter Ron Morin decided to pull the plug on this event. The track and pit area were really wet and with cold and rainy day, the track would not be in great shape for racing.
After two weeks of racing, Carey Terrance leads the way in the Modified; Joey Ladouceur is first in Pro-Stocks, Robert Delormier and Jeremy Levac are tied for the top spot in the Semi-Pro category and Pierre Robidoux is leading in the rookie class.
The action will continue next week with the presentation of the Bumper Sticker Night, have your bumper stick to be a winner presented by Jim`s Performance Plus. Come and see the Modifieds, Pro-Stocks, Semi-Pro and Rookies give a great show on the quarter mile bullring. General admission is only 9$ and 5$ for seniors and students. Racing starts at 7pm sharp.
