RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS STEAL LITTLE LEAGUE NIGHT FROM BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY

BRIDGEPORT, NJ (May 31, 2008) - Heavy rains and thunderstorms which struck Southern New Jersey forced Bridgeport Speedway management to cancel the race program scheduled for Little League Night on Saturday, May 31.
"Starlit Saturday" night racing will resume on Saturday, June 7 at 7:00 PM with Scout Night. The uniformed leader of the pack or troop plus 7 uniformed scouts will be admitted for free. Also, packs and troops will be able to meet and partake in special games with selected Bridgeport drivers. The race schedule on Scout Night includes the Big Block Modifieds featuring drivers such as Wade Hendrickson, Jimmy Horton, Ray Swinehart, Chris Knopp, Ryan Watt, Brian Kressley and current point leader, Mike Iles of Medford, NJ. 358 Sportsman, GM Sportsman, Rookie GM Sportsman, and Outlaw Stocks will be in action as well. Pit Gates will open at 4:00 PM, Grandstand Gates open at 5:00 PM, Warm-Ups will begin at 6:15 PM and the 1st Race will start at 7:00 PM. General Admission tickets are $15 for adults. Kids 12 and under are admitted for free. Pit Admission is $25 with a license and $35 without a license.
In addition, Bridgeport Speedway provides a safe and secure family atmosphere, free parking, giveaways and fan participation games. Billed The Fastest Dirt Track in the East, Bridgeport Speedway is a banked 5/8th mile dirt oval, featuring a dirt 1/4 mile oval embedded in the center, and is located in Southern New Jersey -- just minutes from Pennsylvania and Delaware at exit 14 off of I-295.
