Billy Decker celebrated the 10-year anniversary of his inaugural win in the ‘Showdown at Sundown’ by posting an impressive flag-flag victory Saturday at Fulton Speedway in the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series title event presented by Bradco Supply and Ferries Mowers.
Even a late race caution that extended the scheduled century run to 101 laps wasn’t enough to deny the Unadilla, New York driver of his second Advance Series triumph of the young season which unofficially vaulted him into a tie with third-place finisher Dale Planck for the tour points lead after five races.
Decker collected the $6,000 top prize ahead of Danny Johnson, Planck, reigning overall Mr. DIRTcar points king Brett Hearn and 2008 opening day Series winner Matt Sheppard. Hearn’s fourth-place finish earned him preferred starter status in the prestigious Rite Aid 200 Championship race on Oct. 12 of Super DIRT Week XXXVII at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse .
In four more weeks the Advance Auto Parts Big-Block Modifieds are back in action in Western New York at Ransomville Speedway on Thursday, July 3 with the ‘Big R’ another $6,000-to-win 100-lapper offering valuable points towards the overall Hoosier Tire Mr. DIRTcar Championship.

Tracks Know The Score: In the ongoing effort to assist every sanctioned track with presenting the best possible race programs, DIRT has teamed with AMB i.t. which continues to be recognized as the Official Timing System of DIRTcar racing. UPCOMING EVENTS
The Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modified teams get nearly a four-week break before tour competition resumes in July. Yet once the Independence Day holiday arrives, the vacation is over as seven extra-distance events run right up until the end of the month. The third century grind at Ransomville kicks off tour activity in the states before teams cross the Canadian border for the ‘Great Canadian Tour’ ---- a four-day, four-race test for both man and machinery featuring 400-lap of feature race action in Ontario and Quebec .
