Kruseman look to pad points lead at Santa Maria Speedway.

Saturday night's 4th. Annual Ron Otto Memorial at Santa Maria Speedway will bring USAC/CRA 410 Sprint Cars to the 1/3-mile oval for the first time in 2008. Also on the schedule are the NMRA TQ Midgets and D&S Automotive IMCA Modifieds.
*Cory Kruseman, of Ventura, leads the point standings for the sprinters. Kruseman has a 15 point edge over Temecula's Mike Spencer who won both local main events in 2007. Third place Blake Miller, of Yorba Linda, trails the leader by 72. Santa Maria's Danny Sheridan (-81) and Garrett Hansen (-83) round out the top-five.
*The NMRA/TQ Midget championship lead belongs to Chuck West, of Clovis, who leads Newbury Park's Scott Dobson by 16 points and Sunland's Kenny Wiley, winner of the May 3 feature event at SMS, by 22. Fourth place Richard Ortega, Jr., of Camarillo, is 25 points off the pace and fifth place West Evans, of Moorpark, trails the leader by 33.
*Danny Lauer, of Santa Maria, leads Nipomo's Kenny Kirkpatrick by 8 markers in the IMCA Modified division with third place Chad Weber, of Arroyo Grande, another 14 points back. Santa Maria's Doug Thornton is 2 points behind Weber and Josh Vogt, also of Santa Maria, is 1 point behind Thornton.
*Spectator gates will open at 3:00 p.m. Saturday night, with qualifying at 5:15 p.m. and racing at 6:00 p.m. Ticket prices will be: $20.00 for adults, $16.00 for seniors (65+), $5.00 for children 6 to 12, 5 and under free. The Speedway does not accept credit cards.
