Advanced Lubrication Specialties and WACK 1420am present the return of the mighty DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds this Saturday, June 14th at Canandaigua Speedway. Be sure to head to the Land of Legends to see 800 horsepower
without all the mess!
The DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, UMP Street Stocks, PureStox, and Midstate Vintage Modifieds will join the card taking the green at 7pm.
Saturday night will also feature the Salute to Racing Heroes of the Past. Several Canandaigua Speedway drivers of the past will be on hand this weekend to reminisce, and visit with friends and fans. Bring old memorabilia, scrapbooks, and cameras to help re-live and honour the people that have helped to make DIRTcar Racing what it is today.
Pit windows will open at 4pm, with grandstand admission beginning at 5pm.
Personal Seat Licenses continue to be available. Along with your personalized seat, you will also receive four DIRTcar 5-Packs. Each 5pak coupon is good for (1) admission to all regular season events. For special events, each coupon can be used as a $12 credit towards admission.
Providing another great deal for fans, single purchases of 5-Pack tickets can be purchased for $48.
Tickets for all regular season events will be made available at the gate. Adult general admission is set at $12, $10 for Seniors (Age 65+), $5 for children (Ages 10-14), and those under the age of 9 are FREE.
Pit admission for DIRTcar Northeast members will be $20, while non-members will be admitted for $25.
The return of the Big-Block Modifieds sees a tight point race early in the season. Gary Tomkins holds a slight 4-point advantage over Matt Sheppard. Tomkins has two wins to date at the Land of Legends , while Sheppard has yet to visit victory lane. Steve Paine, Charlie Donk, and Todd Burley currently round out the top five.
Steve Gray revisited victory lane for the second week in a row last Saturday at Canandaigua Speedway in the DIRTcar Sportsman Modified division. Gray had a heated battle with Dan Wiesner throughout the event. Kevin Ridley holds a seven point lead over Gray in the standings.
Bubba Burnell and Eric Chapman took victories in the UMP Street Stock and PureStox divisions. Adam Depuy now sits in a tie with Andy Fisk in the Street Stock standings, while Marc Minutolo has taken over the top spot in the PureStox.
