Annual event slated for Saturday, June 28. Pre-event tickets now on sale.
( Woodhull , NY ) One of the regions most loyal and dedicated sponsor and race fan, Gene Wade will once again sponsor the Annual Jim Williams Night at the Woodhull Raceway. Through his family business, Wades Building Supply of Addison, Gene Wade has become one of the areas most noticeable sponsors having the Wades Building Supply name adorning the sides of numerous cars that compete weekly at the popular Steuben County oval. “We enjoy the races at Woodhull and it is fun for us to help out some of the teams that compete there, stated Wade. Several years ago we had the opportunity to add our name to the Annual Jim Williams event and we jumped at the chance as it is the biggest night of the season at Woodhull”.
In addition to their involvement with the Fireworks program, Wades also has an infield billboard at the track and they also rent two towers for the season to entertain many of their customers, family and friends. Wades Building Supply is also a sponsor of the all new Woodhull Raceway Report audio cast airing weekly at www.woodhullraceway.com.
“I wish we had more people in this world like Gene Wade, stated Woodhull owner, Vern Wasson . He does a tremendous amount for us here at the track as well as his sponsorship of several of the teams that compete here. On top of that Gene and his staff are just down right wonderful people.”
On the card for the June 28 special event will be a Regular Big 6 Show featuring all of Woodhull’s regular classes of action as the night will begin with a delicious chicken bar-b-que put on by the Woodhull Volunteer Fire Department. Then after dark the thousands of fans in attendance will be treated to the largest fireworks extravaganza in the region. Gates for the June 28 event open at 4:30 with racing at 6:30 pm.
Pre-event ticket sales are now available each Saturday at the track in an attempt to cut down on the long wait at the ticket booth on race day. In addition, reserved seating just for the June 28 Fireworks Night will be available from 10:00 until 3:00 the day of the event. For those wishing to reserve a seat just for that particular event they are encouraged to bring a blanket, cardboard or plastic to tape to their reserved seat.
