Laurent Ladouceur, Joey Ladouceur, and Pierre Robidoux were the winners at Cornwall Motor Speedway



Cornwall, On – Sunday, June 15, 2008 – Martin Bélanger - A complete race program was presented at Cornwall Motor Speedway on fan appreciation night on Moe`s Just Hockey night. It was only 4$ to get in to see another great show at the speedway.



A 21-car field started the 30-lap modified feature race as Mark Smoke took the early lead with Delbert Legrow in second, Laurent Ladouceur quickly moved to second from his seventh starting spot after five laps down. Ladouceur took the top spot over Smoke from an inside move on lap 8 as the yellow came out on lap 9 for Gage Morin. On the restart, Alex Fortier went on the roof after a few rolls; Billy Cook and Clayton Benedict were also involved. Laurent Ladouceur led as Brian McDonald rocketed from the outside from his fourth spot and took the lead on lap 11 as an accident occurred in front of grandstand and the yellow came out on the same lap. McDonald got a good start but Ladouceur was right with him as they were side by side for several laps, Joel Doiron was moving up the field as cracked the top 5 around the halfway point. Ladouceur used the same outside line to take back the lead over McDonald with 7 laps to go as Dingwall was in the mix and took second and was on the back bumper of Ladouceur for the lead. Ladouceur pulled away and led the final laps to win the race over Kyle Dingwall, Brian McDonald, Joel Doiron and Delbert Legrow completed the top 5. Mark Smoke, Ron Valade and Roy Tarbell won the heat races.



In the 20-lap Pro-Stock Feature race, Stéphane Lebrun took the lead with David Papineau and Dion Oakes as Ghyslain Valade brought the caution out on lap 3. Lebrun was again the lead when green went back on the field of 21 cars. Morgan David spun out on lap 5 and the yellow was out again. Lebrun got another good start with Allen Peters taking the second spot when two cars got together on lap 8. Lebrun and Peters were side by side on the green but Lebrun was able to stay in front when the yellow came back out on lap 10. Lebrun manage to stay in front with Ladouceur now in third as the top 3 cars were making to 3-wide racing as Peters was now the new leader as the caution came back on lap 15. Ladouceur and Peters were going at it with Louie Jackson in the mix with two to go as Roger Levesque brought out the caution with 1 lap to go. Ladouceur led the 1 lap dash with Louie Jackson taking second, followed by Allen Peters who completed the top 3. Allen Peters, PJ Peters and Ghyslain Valade won the heat races.



A good field of cars in the 15-lap Semi-Pro feature with Steve Herrigan taking the lead with Kurtis McPhee and Kevin Fetterly close to him as Fetterly got hit and the yellow came out on lap 2. Derek Cryderman was now the leader as he took the lead when a multi-car accident occurred in turn 4 and brought the caution on lap 3. Cryderman led the field on the green when Bazinet spun out and the caution flew on lap 5. Cryderman was still your leader followed by Marc Lalonde and he took the lead when Cryderman had issues with the car as Gaetan Amesse used the inside lane to pass Lalonde on lap 8. Amesse led the final laps to win his first feature of the year over Marc Lalonde and Kevin Fetterly completed the podium. Kurtis McPhee and Derek Cryderman won the qualifiers.





Bob Ray and Chris James led the field in the 12-lap rookie feature race as Ray took the lead but an accident occurred in the front stretch involving Andrew Russell who had a lot of damage on the car. On the complete restart, Ray got a good lead with Pierre Robidoux grabbing second followed buy Jean-Marc Larose but Marc Usereau took second when Ray went took high and Pierre Rodidoux was now the new leader with 3 laps down when Ray headed to the pits for a flat tire. Robidoux got a good jump with Larose and Usereau doing battle for second, as Usereau was second with Mike Gaucher in third at the halfway point. Robidoux led the final laps to win the feature race over Marc Usereau and Mike Gaucher. Ray and Larose were the winners in the heat races.



A great night of racing with some 3 and 4-wide racing in every feature race of the evening as the track was very fast. A show not to miss next week at Cornwall Motor Speedway, it will be the First Americans IGA Triple Crown of racing which will include the first visit in history of the World of Outlaws Late Model at the speedway come and see the top stars of that series plus the first of two visits of the Empire Super Sprints and the modifieds will complete the most exciting racing card of the year.
