FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FRANKLIN, PA ... After further review of the protest submitted by
Cody Manners following Sunday night's races at Tri-City Speedway, his
disqualification was upheld today by track officials, and Jon Huff of Oil
City, Pa., is declared the official winner of the Klapec Auto Body
Thundercar feature. It is Huff's first win of the season and the third of
his career at Tri-City.
Following a further investigation of the events that occurred during
the racing program, it was determined that there was a
miscommunication between track officials and driver Chadd Uber. As a result, Uber was
not properly notified of the need to present his Thundercar for
technical inspection after the feature event. His finish was reinstated and he
will be credited with second in the official finishing order.
