RICHNER, COTRISS, RAYMOND AND ISRAEL VICTORIOUS AT RANSOMVILLE
SPEEDWAY
Ransomville, NY Friday, June 13, 2008 Despite mother natures
dismal forecast, Ransomville Speedway completed their sixth week of
racing last Friday night. A total of eighty cars registered to do
battle amongst the three weekly divisions.
Ricky Richner of Niagara Falls, NY took top honors aboard the Mighty
Taco Modified thirty lap feature main. Richner took the lead after a
three wide battled with Todd Gordon and Pete Bicknell. It was a sight
to be seen as contact during the three wide battle left Gordon sideways
on the front stretch. Gordon made a great save losing only two
positions in the process. Richner brought home the win followed by Todd
Burley, Bicknell, Jeff McGinnis, and Gordon.
Richner took a look to the inside of Gordon for the top spot at half
way with Bicknell also looking for a way by. Three wide action resulted
in contact between Gordon, Richner, and Bicknell. It was A GREAT SAVE
by Gordon who was completely sideways on the front stretch but managed
to collect it and hang onto second. Richner came away with the lead and
quickly pulled away from the field. Burley advanced to second on lap
nineteen as yet more three wide racing dazzled race fans. As if that
wasnt enough-Chad Brachmann did a full 360 on the backstretch of lap
twenty-three and kept going without the aid of a yellow. It truly was
Friday the 13th! The final laps were ran clean and green with Richner
claiming the win.

Original Pizza Logs Sportsman division. Cotriss took the lead at the
drop of the green and was never seriously challenged after that point.
