URC PLANS RETURN TO DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL THIS SATURDAY NIGHT, JUNE 28
In past URC seasons, the Delaware International Speedway usually has the
most URC events in the books by the end of June. But in 2008, Mother
Nature is winning the battle with two URC rain outs in three schedule
events at Charlie Cathell's clay oval. On Saturday night, June 28, the
Rislone URC Sprint Series will try again as they return to the Delaware
International Speedway. URC point leader Curt Michael won the first
Delaware show and is hungry to return to his home track. Michael of
Ocean View, DE seems to have the hot ticket for the fast way around
Delaware International and he'll be up to the challenge on Saturday
night.
Dave Ely, Chris Coyle, JJ Grasso and Davey Sammons join Michael to
make-up the top five in the season long Rislone URC Sprint Series point
chase and they'll all be gunning for that $2,000 first place prize
money. A field of at least thirty URC sprint cars are expected to
complete. The point chase is extremely tight and we're only approaching
the mid-point of the season. The Saturday, June 28 event at Delaware
International will find the gates opening at 5 PM with practice set for
7 PM.
