MACS Late Models Take Center Stage at Sharon Speedway on Saturday, June 21st
Hartford, OH June 20, 2008 The MACS (Mid Atlantic Championship Series) Late Models will invade the Sharon Speedway on Saturday, June 21st as they will compete in 50 laps of wheel to wheel racing action with the victor bringing home a $5,000 Grand Prize. An unseasonably wet spring has seen two of the Series' scheduled events cancelled. World of Outlaws driver Shane Clanton captured the MACS opener, which was held at the Allegany County Speedway in Cumberland, MD. Danville, PA driver Jeff Rine was victorious in the May 25th event that was held at the Bedford Speedway in Bedford, PA.
Jason Covert, who is the 2006 and 2007 MACS Champion, is looking to get back in the Winner's Circle at the Hartford, OH oval however he will face challenges from drivers such as Robbie Blair, David Scott and Greg Fetters. Late Model "Hot Shoes" such as Jack Pencil, Gary Stuhler, Matt Lux, and Dutch Davies are also expected to be in competition this Saturday night.
The Tom's Sewer and Drain E-Mods and the Limited Sprints will also be in competition this weekend. In E-Mod action Alan Dellinger will be looking to continue his "Perfect Season" and make it four in a row while Limited Sprint driver Guy Griffin will be trying to capture his third consecutive victory. Griffin picked up his first Sharon Speedway victory of the 2008 season on June 7th and followed it up with another win this past Tuesday when the Limited Sprint Division competed as part of the Ollie's Bargain Outlet 360 Challenge event at the speedway.

Pit gates will open at 3:00PM with the Grandstand gates opening at 4:00PM. MACS Times Trials will get underway at 6:00PM with racing action to follow immediately afterwards.
Adult Grandstand Admission is just $20.00. Children ages 9 to 13 are $10.00 and Children Eight and Under are free.
