T3 ALL STAR SERIES FOR 358 MODIFIEDS PRESENTED BY TROYER RACE CARS WILL MAKE A RETURN ENGAGEMENT TO THUNDER MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY.
Wednesday, August 13, 2008 is the date for what is expected to be a stellar field of Small Block Modifieds. Dick and Shelly Stark of Thunder Mountain join forces with John and Laura White of Gypsum Wholesalers to co-promote the event
(Woodhull, NY) “I am really pumped for this show, perhaps like no other event that has been staged at Thunder Mountain.” Those were the words expressed by Thunder Mountain Promoter; Dick Stark as he revealed plans for what could very well be the biggest night in the history of the Center Lisle, NY facility.
“As soon as Shelly and I had John and Laura White of Gypsum secure the $12,000 plus purse I immediately contacted the T3 All Star Series about a sanction for the event. It didn’t take long for Kenny and Mary Shupp of the T3 Series to sign on and we now have the makings of a huge event set for Wednesday, August 13, 2008”
Final details of the event including any support classes will be finalized within the next few weeks, but according to sources at the T3 All Star Series for 358 Modifieds presented by Troyer Race Cars, “Unfortunately we lost a show this year at McKean County due to their ongoing financial struggles. We have been contacted by numerous different venues about a date; however we were very reluctant about signing on another event to fill the void due to the economy and travel expenses. That all changed with one phone call from Dick and when he made his proposal and knowing that John and Laura White are guaranteeing the purse it then became a done deal. We are still sticking to our philosophy of a limited schedule in 2008 once again because of the high overhead costs of traveling to these events, however because of the first class treatment that we received at Thunder Mountain last season coupled with this rare opportunity of running for a phenomenal purse we can feel very comfortable with this added event to our 08 schedule.”
Further details including a total purse breakdown will be forthcoming and will be posted on both the Thunder Mountain and T3 All Star Series web sites. Racers will be governed by the existing T3 All Star Series rules which are posted at www.t3allstarseries.com.
