Eight Nights of action in July at Orange County Fair Speedway

EIGHT NIGHTS OF ACTION IN JULY AT ORANGE COUNTY FAIR SPEEDWAY

Fireworks, Monster Trucks, and Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series Headline a Busy Month on the Hard Clay



MIDDLETOWN, NY (June 25)……..Eight nights of track action are on tap during July at Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown , New York . In addition to four Saturday nights of stock car racing, the Monster Truck Challenge takes over the historic five-eights-mile Hard Clay oval for a two-day meet, Wednesday and Thursday, July 16-17, the first two days of the 168th Annual Orange County Fair. Then on Thursday, July 24, the Second Annual Slingshot Shootout and Go Kart racing program takes center stage. And to end the month, on Thursday, July 31, the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Modified Series makes its annual appearance, with touring DIRTcar Modified drivers ready to challenge the track’s weekly competitors for bragging rights and the $6,000 top prize.



First up, on Saturday, July 5, in celebration of Independence Day, Lee’s Quality Tires and Johnson Ford present a five-division---Modifieds, 358 Modifieds, Sportsman, Pro Stocks, and Pure Stocks---racing program with a fireworks display to cap off the evening. All Saturday night race meets begin at 6:00 PM.



The following Saturday night, July 12, the Nor the ast Vintage Modifieds and the Atlantic Coast Old Timers will help fans recall past racing history on Nostalgia Night. Four of the track’s current racing divisions---Modifieds, Sportsman, Pro Stocks and Pure Stocks---will be in action in qualifying and feature races. Sponsors for Nostalgia Night are Collier Motorcar Company and Autopart International.



The exceptionally popular Monster Truck Challenge is sure to attract a full house crowd when the y bring the ir high energy form of motorsports to the historic Orange County track on July 16 and 17, both evenings at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $25 for adults 13-64, $10 for Seniors and Kids 7-12, while children six and under are free. Tickets are available at the Speedway Office and through Ticketmaster. Tickets purchased by July 15 include Fair admission. Additional Monster Truck Challenge may be found at www.monstertruckchallenge.com.



On Saturday, July 19, all five racing divisions return to the Hard Clay with a Modified Dash for Cash as an added attraction. Mike Sparta Trucking is the sponsor of both the night and the Dash. Fans are reminded that this race meet takes place during the Orange County Fair.



Tickets for the July 24 (at 7:00 PM) Second Annual Slingshot Shootout and Go Kart race meet are $10, and if purchased in advance, include Fair admission.



The final Saturday night race meet of the month, July 26, again features four racing divisions ( the 358 Modifieds have the night off) with an added Sportsman Dash for Cash. Pine Bush Equipment and the Middletown Motor-sports Show are the evening’s sponsors. This program also takes place during the Orange County Fair.



Fans can expect a banner field of race cars when the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Modified Series rolls into town on Thursday, July 31. There may even be a surprise entry or two from o the r racing series. But for sure, defending Mr. DIRTcar Modified champion Brett Hearn, who is also Orange County ’s all-time winner in both Modified divisions, will head the list of track and series champions from across the Nor the ast DIRTcar circuit looking for the big prize. The closely-contested Pro Stocks are also on the program, sponsored by Escape RV, WRWD 107.3 and 99.3 FM, and Wolf 94.3 and 97.3 FM. Racing begins at 7:00 PM.
