A heavy stream of severe showers has forced a cancellation to Summit Auto “Freedom Night” presented by the Army National Guard at Cayuga County Fair Speedway. The showers hit the Speedway at around 6pm.
Before the rains came 21 Big-Block Modifieds, 24 Sportsman Modifieds, and 9 Street Stocks had entered the Speedway .
“A rather large cell of showers came into the area early this evening, and unfortunately dropped a lot of rain in a short period of time,” said General Manager, Jack Deery. “The amount of moisture that hit us was just going to be too much to overcome.”
Make sure to come back to the Cayuga County Speedway during 4th of July Weekend, as there is a full calendar of events to take advantage of.
The Country 4x4 Concert featuring Rhett Atkins will kick-off the weekend Friday, July 4th. Then Saturday, July 5th Pick-n-Pull Auto Parts presents the Broken Hearts Divorcee Demo Derby, along with the Total Destruction Demo, and Spectacular Drags. Last on Sunday, July 6th Pick-n-Pull Auto Parts will be on hand once again to present the Independence 201 Enduro.
All the action Saturday and Sunday will begin at 7pm.
