Big-Block Modified $2,008 to Win Mid-Summer Special Added at Canandaigua Speedway

It’s time to re-think your 4th of July racing calendar.
Canandaigua Speedway is proud to announce the just added Mid-Summer 35-lap Championship for Big-Block Modifieds this Saturday, July 5th. A special prize of $2,008 will be awarded to the winner with bonuses in the amount of $100 to 2nd-5th positions, as well as $50 to the 6th-13th place finishers.
The DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds will now run a single 25-lap feature event along with the UMP Street Stocks, PureStox, ESDCA Mod Lites, and a huge fireworks display. Grandstands will open at 5pm, with racing starting at 7pm.
“We looked at this as a perfect opportunity to add another Modified race to our calendar at Canandaigua Speedway, and what better weekend than 4th of July Weekend,” said General Manager, Jack Deery. “I had three true supporters of Canandaigua Speedway and Big-Block Modified racing approach me about making this event happen, and together I think we have put a nice show on the calendar.”
Line-ups for the evening will be determined by a blind draw, followed with a pill draw inversion for the feature event.
Army National Guard/Dash Racewear “American Night” just became a little more spectacular this Saturday. With the addition of the DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds to the card and a cool $2,008 to the winner, look for fireworks both on the track and in the sky!
