Weedsport, NY – June 30, 2008 – By Dan Kapuscinski, Rolling Wheels Raceway PR and Promotions Coordinator

The Mr. DIRTcar Sportsman Modified Series returns to Rolling Wheels Raceway Park this Thursday, July 3rd for the Summit Auto Group “Firecracker Twins” presented by the Army National Guard and Spano Companies. The Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stocks, Parts Plus Big 6 Street Stock Series, and Midstate Vintage Modifieds will also be on the card with a huge fireworks display.

Pits open at 4pm, grandstands at 5pm, with racing starting at 7pm.

Admission is set at $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (65+), $5 for children (ages 10-14), and kids 9 and under are FREE. Pit admission will be $20 for DIRTcar members and $25 for non-members.

“We’re looking at this to be an exciting mid-week event to kick-off the 4th of July Weekend,” said General Manager, Jack Deery. “Rolling Wheels is known to pull between 50-60 Sportsman and when you combine that with the rest of our card it should be a great night. To top it all of, we’ll finish the night with fireworks to get everyone in the mood for a nice holiday weekend.”

The Mr. DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds will run Twin 20 feature events on Thursday evening, while the MR. DIRTcar Pro Stocks will run a 25-lap main event. The last Sportsman Series event at Rolling Wheels was won by Dan Wiesner, who recently picked up a feature win at Canandaigua Speedway.

Thursday will mark the second event of the Parts Plus Big 6 Street Stock Series, and will be a 20-lap affair. Adam Depuy won the first leg of the series at Cayuga County Fair Speedway in June.
