ASCoC and MASS to Light Up the Sky at KC, Terre Haute, and Paragon This Weekend.
“America’s Series” and “The Best In the Midwest” will hit the road for
the Fourth of July for one of the most anticipated events of the season
at the Terre Haute “Action Track.” Both the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions and the O’Reilly Midwest All Star Series will be on hand to
help celebrate the Fourth of July for the fans in Southern Indiana.
Firts, the O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions kick off their weekend
with a stop at KC Raceway in Chillicothe, OH On July 3rd for "The Night
the Stars Come Out" as Lance Dewease will try to fend off Dale Blaney
and Randy Hannagan who are creeping up on the season points leader.
Defending champion Greg Wilson is on the outside looking in and will
seek out some valuable points on the high banked 3/8 mile speed plant
before heading West to The Terre Haute Action Track.
Both traveling groups pride themselves on being “The Working Man’s
Series" and are thrilled to compete in front of the Terre Haute audience
of hard working Americans on Independence Day. The Wolfe’s Auto Auction
Run with the Pack Classic will feature Lance Dewease, Dale Blaney, and
Randy Hannagan from the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions and
feature Jerrod Hull, AJ Bruns, and Jimmy Hurley of the O’Reilly Midwest
All Star Series, along with many other local and national travelers.
Top Indiana natives like Paul May, Kody Kinser, and Miranda Throckmorton
will be looking to defend their home turf.
The night at Terre Haute will be packed with excitement both on and off
the track as the track will feature their familiar midway of t-shirt
trailers, promotional tents, and some of the best food found at any
facility. There will also be autograph sessions beginning at 4:30,
already committed to the sessions are Brian Ellenberger, Jerrod Hull,
Kody Kinser, and Miranda Throckmorton with more to be added. Fans will
need to stick around after the final checkers fly as the sky will light
up in celebration by Sky Magic Promotions with one of the area’s largest
fireworks displays.
"When we were putting together our schedule we wanted to make sure we
gave area fans a chance to see a wide variety of racing," said Mike King
of DHK Promotions. "After two great non-winged sprint car events (Don
Smith Classic, Tony Hulman Classic) we think fans will have a blast
watching the incredible speed that the All-Star's will bring to Terre
Haute on July 4th. Chris Novotney will give them a great track surface
to race on, and I think it's the perfect way to start the long holiday
weekend."
Tickets for the event are just $10 for general admission, $25 Family
Infield for 2 adults and up to 4 children, with Reserved Grandstand
tickets available by calling ahead at 812-236-7951. Gates will open at
4:00pm with the big right rears rolling at 6:00pm for hotlaps. It is
going to be a night to remember and not soon forgotten as it is the only
time in 2008 that winged sprints will be on “The Action Track.”
The Midwest All Star Series then heads to Paragon Speedway in Paragon,
IN on July 5th for another exciting event rounds out the weekend with
several of the ASCoC drivers also expected to be in attendance. The
Midwest All Star Series' July 6th date originally scheduled for
Owensboro, Kentucky’s famed Windy Hollow Speedway has been moved to
August 17th .
