MS race for a cure offers extra cash incentives at Bridgeport.

3rd ANNUAL MS RACE FOR A CURE IS OFFERING EXTRA CASH INCENTIVES FOR COMPETITORS AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY

BRIDGEPORT, NJ (July 3, 2008) - Excitement is in the air at Bridgeport Speedway, as the 3rd annual MS Race For A Cure takes place on Wednesday, July 23 at 7:30 PM. This will be the second and final mid-week race for the 2008 season. The headline event is a 40 lap shootout with a $4000 top prize for the Big Block Modifieds. A $500 Mad Dash for Cash, part of the "The Racing Realtor Mad Dash for Cash Series", will be awaiting the Big Block Modified heat race winners. The winner of the July 23rd Mad Dash for Cash is invited back for the Turkey Chase weekend in November with the other Mad Dash winners to compete in a 5 lap heat for $1000.

Many of the weekly Bridgeport Speedway Big Block Modified stars are expected to be in action for this race including Duane Howard, Jimmy Horton, Richie Pratt Jr., Mike Iles, Wade Hendrickson, Jimmy Chester and Ryan Watt. With no pit license required and extra cash incentives available, many racers are expected to visit the big 5/8 mile dirt oval. Those expected include Billy Pauch, Jeff Strunk, Keith Hoffman, Stewart Friesen, Mike Gular, Frank Cozze, and Rick Laubach.

Also, a 25 lap Open Sportsman event is on the agenda, paying a whopping $2,500 to win. Bridgeport Speedway is seeking sponsors for heat winners in both divisions, as well as lap leaders.

Pit Gates will open at 4:30 PM, Grandstand Gates open at 5:00 PM, and the racing will start at 7:30 PM. General Admission tickets are $20 for adults. Kids 12 and under are admitted for free. Pit Admission is $25 and no pit license is required.

Bridgeport Speedway provides a safe and secure family atmosphere, free parking, giveaways and fan participation games. Billed 'The Fastest Dirt Track in the East', Bridgeport Speedway is a banked 5/8th mile dirt oval, featuring a dirt 1/4 mile oval embedded in the center, and is located in Southern New Jersey -- just minutes from Pennsylvania and Delaware at exit 14 off of I-295.
