$100 Bonus and Syracuse Qualifier to Highest Finishing 358 This Weekend at Canandaigua and Cayuga County Fair Speedways

Weedsport, NY – July 8, 2008 – By Dan Kapuscinski, Canandaigua and Cayuga County Fair Speedway Public Relations Coordinator

With the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series for Big-Block Modifieds embarking on their Great Canadian Tour this weekend, Canandaigua and Cayuga County Fair Speedways are offering a 358-Modified Syracuse Championship qualifier and a $100 bonus to the highest finishing 358 in the feature field.

The Super DIRTcar Series kicks-off their Canadian trail Thursday, July 10th at Brockville Ontario Speedway. From there the tour will continue three straight nights at Autodrome Granby, Autodrome Drummond, and Cornwall Motor Speedway. The Drummond and Cornwall dates land on Saturday and Sunday July 12th-13th.

As a result, both Canandaigua and Cayuga County Fair Speedways have added the 358-Modified Syracuse qualifier and $100 bonus to their July 12th and July 13th shows. The combination of 358’s and Big-Block Modifieds will make for exciting racing, and gives a 358 competitor a guaranteed shot at the ‘Moody Mile.’

Saturday at Canandaigua Speedway it is Dig Safely New York “Kid’s Flag Night” presented by Currier Plastics. All kids that come to the Speedway will receive a FREE checker flag. The DIRTcar Big-Block and 358-Modifieds will be in competition along with the DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, DIRTcar Street Stocks, and PureStox starting at 7pm.

Sunday at Cayuga County Fair Speedway it is Bud Light Night at the Races with Kid’s Fun Laps presented by K&S Carwash. The DIRTcar Big-Blocks/358’s, DIRTcar Sportsman, Street Stocks, BattleKarz, and NY Modified Midgets all go racing at 7pm.

Both Canandaigua and Cayuga County will offer 50 show-up points to any driver that runs at their home track or travels to Canada for the Series events. As long as the driver is in competition this weekend at either of those events they will receive equal points.
