JJ GRASSO "The Jersey Jet" SCORES THIRD CONSECUTIVE URC VICTORY AT NEW
EGYPT SPEEDWAY SATURDAY NIGHT

JJ Grasso "the Jersey Jet" of Pedricktown, NJ has figured out the New
Egypt Speedway and Saturday night, he scored his third URC win of 2008
and his third consecutive win this season at New Egypt. Grasso started
the night by winning his heat race and dominating the twenty-five
distance of the Rislone URC sprint feature to score the win. Grasso is
also URC's first three time feature winner this year and his win was
convincing as he had a half-lap lead over runner-up Chris Coyle. A
big crowd was on hand for URC's third visit to New Egypt Speedway this
season. Another big story of the night is that car count was strong
with thirty-six cars turning out for the ninth show of the season.

Four heat race events were presented with victories going to JJ Grasso,
Chris Coyle, Kyle Purks and Becca Anderson as Danny Massey took the win
in the Don Ott "B" Main.

As the drop of the green flag in the twenty-five lap feature event, Kyle
Purks set the pace until lap six when Dave Gravel spun in turn two
displaying the yellow flag. With the green flag waiving to restart the
event, Purks tried to regain the lead only to tap the turn two wall and
take a series of rolls. Kevin Welsh made contact with the disabled
sprinter of Purks. Both drivers did walk away but their cars were too
badly damaged to restart the race.

On the restart, Grasso again took the lead followed by Gary Gollub and
Ed Aikin. As the race went on, Grasso ran to hide from the rest of the
field but there were numerous great battles going on throughout the
entire field.

At the halfway point of the race ,Grasso continued to lead over Gary
Gollub, Ed Aikin, Chris Coyle and Billy Pauch. The balance of the race
went non-stop with a full court pressure being applied in the battle for
second through fifth. Coyle settled in for second as Gary Gollub ran
third with Ed Aikin and Billy Pauch on a charge. In the closing laps,
Becca Anderson was inching in on the top five.

With just five laps remaining, Grasso was leading and no where to be
found by runner-up Chris Coyle. Aikin, Pauch and Gollub followed in the
top five. For the final two laps, Grasso was working his way through
lapped traffic and did a masterful job. With the checker flag waiving,
Grasso, URC's own Jersey Jet was the winner followed by Chris Coyle in
the BPG sponsored #4 with Ed Aikin third, Billy Pauch fourth and Gary
Gollub fifth.

During the running of the heat race events, Scott Pursell flipped in the
first heat race as Justin Collett tagged the second turn wall and
flipped in turn two of the third heat race. In the fourth heat race,
Brett Schoenly tangled with Davey Sammons and flipped in turn one. All
three drivers walked away uninjured.
