The Coca-Cola Super Late Model division got under way with defending track champion Frank Coates leading the field from pole position. 3-time track champ Mike Measamer started on the outside. Row 2 consisted of Terry Bullard along with points’ leader Colby Cannon on the outside. Frank Coates started the feature with his familiar bullet start and jumped into the lead as the cars entered the front stretch. Mike Measamer got a little loose in turns 1 and 2 allowing Terry Bullard to pull along side going down the back stretch. Terry Bullard would complete the pass in turns 3 and 4 so that by the end of lap 1 the top 5 was Frank Coates, Terry Bullard, Mike Measamer, Colby Cannon, and Billy Rushton. Frank Coates was able to pull out a slight lead while Colby Cannon pressured Mike Measamer for the 3rd spot. Mike would once again encounter trouble in turns 1 and 2 as he lost it spinning the back end around. On the restart Frank Coates pulled out another comfortable lead as Terry Bullard was able to put a small gap between himself and Colby Cannon. Mike Ashley was able to work by some cars as he and Billy Rushton put on a great show battling for the 4th spot. Ashley was able pull off the pass on the outside in the closing laps to take the spot.
