Riverside Bar and Grill Racing Weekend I: Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints/SMAC Magazine Canadian Invasion Series visits Edelweiss and Brockville.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Wilson family name is legendary in parts of Ontario, Canada and this coming weekend their Riverside Bar and Grill is providing a $1,000 point fund for all teams that visit Autodrome Edelweiss Speedway and the Brockville Ontario Speedway. The 25th Anniversary Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints will showcase two SMAC Magazine Canadian Invasion Series events which both pay $2,000 to win.
Mike and Lori Lasalle are backing both A-Mains at the 1/3rd mile ovals, if a driver earns two checkered flags a total of $4,500 could be in their pockets.
On Friday night comes the first of three visits to the exciting oval North of Canada’s capital of Ottawa, in Cantley, Quebec. Edelweiss always provides exciting sprint action with a good field of the winged warriors expected. Former track regulars Brian McDonald and Lee Ladouceur will head the pit log along with current overall and SMAC point leader Steve Poirier, Alain Bergeron, Lance Yonge, Michael Parent, Jeff Cook and many more. Fan M. Gilles Mason will sponsor the Walt’s Hobby Dash event where Justin Barger is leading the points.
The next evening, its south from Quebec to Ontario on the border of the St. Lawrence River to the newly reconfigured Brockville Ontario Speedway. Paul Kirkland totally revamped the quick oval to a full fledge 1/3rd. mile oval. The “BOS” will be holding two full point events this year along with the first ever Can-Am Challenge in October with the Southern Ontario Sprints.
The father/daughter duo of Rick and April Wilson will be on hand thrilling the local crowd. They will be joined by Tim Kelly, Anthony Cain, Bubby Kerrick, Tommy Wickham, Doug Emery, Cory Sparks, Justin Harris, Chris Jones, who is sponsoring the dash, Normand Beaudreault and many others will make up the pit log.
Two big events on the SMAC Magazine Canadian Invasion Series…Edelweiss, Brockville. Fans from both Quebec and Ontario you will see the tradition of excitement guaranteed!!
