KNOXVILLE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND NATIONALS COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES PRESENTING SPONSORS FOR 2008 NATIONALS EVENTS
CHARITIES AND VOLUNTEER GROUPS TO BENEFIT
KNOXVILLE, IA THURSDAY 17TH, 2008:
THE KNOXVILLE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SPONSORED EVENTS SURROUNDING THE 48TH ANNUAL KNOXVILLE NATIONALS WILL BENEFIT LOCAL CHARTIES AND VOLUNTEER GROUPS THIS YEAR. BUSINESSES AND MEMBERS OF THE KNOXVILLE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HAVE LINED UP TO BECOME PRESENTING SPONSORS FOR EVENTS AND THE RESULT WILL BE FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR LOCAL CHARITIES AND VOLUNTEER GROUPS.
One of the first businesses to race in was McKay Insurance who is underwriting the sponsorship of the annual downtown parade. “The benefit is obvious,” said Dan McKay, “and it is a win-win situation. Ultimately, the charities and volunteer groups in our community will be the big winners. When they win, we all benefit from the work they do and the far reaching impact they have.”
Other events with presenting sponsors include MidAmerican Energy’s sponsorship of the first ever volunteer celebration dinner, Iowa State Savings Bank’s sponsorship of the Annual Pit Stop Pancake Breakfast, Iowa Telecom sponsoring the National’s Parking Facility, Raceway Tire and Exhaust sponsoring Bizarre Bazaar, and donors like Kline’s Quick Time, Sundance Realty, Knoxville Area Hospital and Clinics, Prudential Realty, KNIA/KRLS radio, Knoxville Veterinary Clinic, 3M, Auxi Health and Colonial Terrace Mobile Homes who are sponsoring the volunteer T-shirts worn this year.
