It All Goes Down, At Sundown!. . . .

GREAT WEATHER TO WELCOME 11th Annual DIRTcar 100 LAP TRAFFIC JAM

WEDNESDAY NIGHT, JULY 16 AT GRANDVIEW



The 11th Annual DIRTcar Big Block Modified 100 Lap TRAFFIC JAM will be

the main attraction on Wednesday night, July 16 as the NAPA Auto Parts

Thunder on the Hill Racing Series continues its' nineteenth season at

the Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville , PA. Always a crowd please,

the Big Block Modifieds have a way of mixing up the action when they

enter the one-third mile high banked Grandview Speedway. Brett Hearn,

Billy Decker, Matt Sheppard, Alan Johnson are just a few of the DIRTcar

entries that will battle the best of Pennsylvania and New Jersey to

include Jeff Strunk, Duane Howard, Billy Pauch, Frank Cozze, Keith

Hoffman, Rick Laubach and Sam Martz. Of course, this night will also

mark the anticipated return of the legendary Kenny Brightbill, "the

Shillington Slingshot", as he makes his first big block race of the

season. BPG Racing & Chad Sinon are sponsor the return of Kenny

Brightbill as well as being sponsor of the 11th Annual TRAFFIC JAM.



Race time is set for 7:30 PM when the task of time trial qualifying will

take place. COMDIAL Telephone Communications has posted $200 for fast

time of the night. A series of qualifying heat race events and a

consolation will be part of the program. The Garden State Vintage Stock

Cars will offer a display plus some on track time.



One of the most exciting points of any race is the feature line-up and

the anticipation of the roar to the green flag. The thirty car starting

field will line-up on the homestretch and fans will then be allowed to

participate in the FANFEST, an opportunity for fans to meet the drivers

and see the cars up close, just prior to the start of the TRAFFIC JAM.

When the fans return to their seats, all track gates will be closed and

those famous words will echo across the "hill". . . Gentlemen, Start

YOUR Engines! With a hardy roar, the big block modifieds will slowly

pull away behind the pace car in search of the green flag. Hold on to

your seats and be prepared for the fireworks salute on the parade lap.



One-hundred laps later, will see who's standing on the Grandview podium

with their $6,000 check and champagne shower. Only at Grandview ,

always at Thunder on the Hill, you'll see a show, not just a race.



What Else is Happening?



Inside/Out Promotion-- - Fans who would like to watch warm-ups from the

infield should sign in at the Will Call Window before 6:30 PM. This is

a free activity, no additional charge.

Watch for JOE the Pizza DUDE as he runs through the grandstands giving

FANFEST- - Fans may enter the homestretch at the Flag Stand just prior

to the feature event line-up.



Looking to Save $2 on an Adult Admission Ticket?



Fans will receive a $2 discount on an adult admission ticket if they are

wearing a Thunder on the Hill, Grandview , Bridgeport or New Egypt

Speedway t-shirt, so represent your favorite track and come on out to

Grandview . The discount is offered for adult general admission tickets

only.



There will also be fan give away items with plenty of help from the

Round Table Girls.

Admission Prices:

$22 Adult General Admission, $5 Children 6-11, Children under 6 FREE.

The pit fee is $25 and a license is not required.
