Lasoski wins night one of the Evergreen State Sprint Challenge in Elma

ELMA, Wash. – Northwest Speedweek 2008 continued Friday night at Grays Harbor Raceway with night one of the Evergreen State Sprint Challenge with Danny Lasoski taking the win.

Fridays’s race was the fifth of six straight nights of racing for the annual Speedweek, now being sanctioned by the ASCS (American Sprint Car Series) Northwest Region.

Lasoski took the lead from pole at the start of the 30-lap feature at 3/8 mile clay oval, and took the commanding win over Jason Solwold, Roger Crocket, Jay Cole, and Jared Ridge.

The four heat races were won by Crockett, Brock Lemley, Seth Bergman, and Lasoski. The top 16 in points after the heat races transferred to the 20-car feature, with the top two finishers in both of the B-Main events filling out the field. Transferring from the B-Mains were Casey Adams, Kyle Hirst, Jared Peterson, and Robby Vaughn. There were 37 cars signed in on the night.

Speed Week concluded Saturday night at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash. Hot laps will begin at approximately 6 p.m., with racing at 7.
