Rolling Wheels Raceway Park ’s Valley Tire/Coke Summer Showdown Falls Victim to Rain Showers

The Valley Tire/Coke Summer Showdown presented by We Care Holdings at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park has been called off due to heavy rain showers. A heavy cell of storms moved into the Syracuse area in the mid-afternoon dropping large amounts of precipitation in the area.
The DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds, Sportsman Modifieds, and Street Stocks were scheduled to take the green at 7pm. The racing action was to be an extension of the Cayuga County Fair Speedway schedule, as the 13th Annual K-Rockathon was held at the Weedsport oval on Saturday.
Racing will continue next Sunday night at the Cayuga County Fair Speedway as A-Verdi Containers presents the Patriots American Sprint Series. The DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, DIRTcar Street Stocks, BattleKarz, and Central New York Mini Sprints will be on the racing card with racing beginning at 7pm.
The next event at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park will wait until Monday, September 1st when the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series returns to ‘The Fast Track’ for the Budweiser 110. That night will also mark the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Advance Auto Parts as the series sponsor of the Super DIRTcar tour. Honeoye Auto Parts and Big Dog WUUF 103.5 FM will also be presenting the Mr. DIRTcar Sportsman Modified Series with racing starting at 7pm.
