Fultonville, NY - A black cloud has followed Paul Kinney's Nice N Easy Grocery shops team down the Mohawk River for his trips to the Glen Ridge Motorsports Park. A first trip spin while charging to the front, and 2 consecutive trips with motor troubles, the latter a motor installed that night, had kept the high flying driver out of the spotlight.
Richie Price and Al McCoy would lead the modified feature to the green with Price taking the early lead. The race would get off to a rough start as the 3rd place starter Keith Shoemaker would spin in front of the field. He would continue on. On the restart Kinney, who started 7th, was quickly on the move charging to the outside of the speedway and blasting to the top spot by lap 3. Price would hold on from second while back in the pack Craig Hanson and Jeff Brownell Jr were on the charge from their 12th and 14th place starting spots. Hanson would make his way to second around Price with Brownell following him through. Hanson and Brownell would battle for the second spot while Kinney started to stretch his lead. At the checkers Kinney would take his first Glen Ridge victory followed by Hanson, Brownell, Price, and Jeff Sheely.
Jay Lias and Robert Gray would lead the Budget Sportsman field to the green with Lias jumping out to the top spot. Lias would catch the infield birm in turns 1 and 2 sending his 99 spinning. The field would scatter to avoid him but John Constantino and Brittany Liggett would be tangled up in the mess. Constantino would continue on while Liggett retired pitside. From his 6th place starting spot Alex Alberti was on the charge. Sweeping past Steve Douglas into the second spot and setting sail after Gray. He would use the low side off turn 2 to take over the top spot while back in the field Jeremiah Munson and Korey Wilder were on the move. Munson would slowly and methodically pick his way through the field into second but would run out of laps trying to catch Alberti. Alberti would cross the line first but would be diqualified for a carburetor spacer infraction in post race tech inspection. The win would go to Munson followed by Angela Hoard, Wilder, Gray, and Douglas.
Cliff Haslun would jump out to the early lead in the Harry's Auto Street Stock Series feature with Randy Cosselman in town. Cosselman's run would come to an early end as he retired pitside with mechanical troubles. Dave Bayes, the series points leader started in the fifth position quickly found himself at the front slipping by Haslun for the lead. Dave Pope was quickly on the charge with his number 27 Monte Carlo and started to chase Bayes put something would go a miss and slowed to bring out the caution. Pope would rejoin the race. As the green came back out it was still Bayes at the point with Justin Knight starting to give chase. Pope recovering from his issues was on the move charging back through the field but would run out of time as Bayes would take the victory. Knight would be second followed by Bryan Wescott, Pope, and Chuck McSpirit.
Chris Andrew would take the early lead in the cruiser feature over Harold Passino. Laurie Fallis would follow Andrew and take over the second spot. Andrew's run would come to an end as his right rear tire came off the car in turns 1 and 2 giving the lead to Fallis. Starting scratch on the field after breaking a CV joint in his heat race, Kerry Hollenbeck was on the charge picking his way through the field. Hollenbeck would use the low side of the speed to get underneath and take the lead from Fallis. A late yellow would give Fallis one last shot at Hollenbeck but he would hold on for the victory. Fallis would be second followed by Nathan Sitterly, Bobby Rhinehardt, and Len St. Andrews.
