World of Outlaws Event at Ohsweken Postponed by Rain: Doubleheader Set for Wednesday
Ohsweken, ON July 22, 2008Heavy rain that drenched the track and left the pit area impassable forced the postponement of the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series event at Ohsweken Speedway in Canada originally scheduled for Tuesday night.
The event will be made up on Wednesday as part of a doubleheader, beginning at 5:15 p.m. Eastern with hot laps. After the completion of the first event, there will be a break to allow the teams to work on their cars, as well as time for track officials to rework the racing surface and also clear the grandstands before the originally scheduled event for Wednesday takes to the track. Both events will be compete racing programs, beginning with hot laps, followed by time trials, heat races, a Crane Cams Dash, Last Chance Showdown and A-Feature event.
SPEED will be on-hand to tape both events, with the first race airing this coming Saturday, July 26.
