SFS Point Races Heating Up

The pilots, crew chiefs, and fans are looking for great things as all five classes of dirt racing look forward to the stretch drive at State Fair Speedway in Oklahoma City.

In the Super Sprint division, Danny Jennings, has driven his #61 sprint car to the point lead with a pair of "A" main wins while being very consistent in his finishes. Whit Gastineau is right on his heels just 320 points behind while capturing three "A" main wins himself.

Super Sprint: 1. Danny Jennings 2380; 2. Whit Gastineau 2060; 3. Chris Burns 1930; 4. Strike Hill 1860; 5. Robert Sellers 1700; 6. Kerry McAlister 1700; 7. Michelle Decker 1690; 8. Joe Wood Jr 1640; 9. Lee Jennings 1570; 10. Jeff Leep 1390.

The USA Modified division has been the survival of the fittest. A trio of drivers have compiled three "A" Main wins apiece. These drivers are Stanley Reed Jr, Allen Chickering, and Tony Anderson. Each of these drivers will be gunning for the title as Mr. USA Modified at SFS in 2008.

The Pro Stock division has been the tightest and hotly contested division all year long. There has been a total of six different drivers capturing "A" main checks during the 2008 season

Pro Stock: 1. James Beane 2560; 2. Steve Smith 2480; 3. Mark Brill 2410; 4. Jared Hicks 2160; 5. Ricky Butler 1750; 6. Eric Brill 1490; 7. Morris Woodall 1440; 8. Brain Jones 1340; 9. Chuck Poff 1270; Steven Hawkins Jr 1200.

The Factory Stock division has been pretty much a family affair at the top. The Allen trio of Justin, Jeremy, and Larry have compiled a total of eight "A" main wins for the year. Steve Clemmons is hot on their rear bumber. So it will be a sight to be hold to see who captures this years title.

The Championship Sprint division has been equally as exciting and competitive as all the other classes at SFS. Michelle Decker and Gary Decker have led the way with three and two wins respectively, however Frank Dittman is right on thier heels.
