ONE LUCKY WILLIAMS GROVE FAN MAY WIN $5000 ON SATURDAY AUGUST 2
MECHANICSBURG, PA -- Williams Grove Speedway will open the month of
August with four consecutive Saturday nights of racing beginning on
August 2, when a lucky fan may go home with more money than the winner
of any of the four features on the card.
The Fans Dash for Cash will provide the opportunity for a fan to
win $5000.
Each fan will receive an entry form, which must be completed and
placed in one of the containers at various locations around the speedway.
The name of one lucky entrant will be selected, and that person
will then draw a number from 1-24. Each of the 24 numbers represents a
starting position for the super sportsman feature. Whoever is starting
in the position drawn will be that fan's driver for the event. If that
driver wins the race, the fan will take home $5000.
Entry forms will also be available at participating sponsors such
as Bass Pro Shops in Harrisburg, Rt. 15 Beverage Express and Al's Pizza
in Dillsburg, Subway shops in Carlisle, Dillsburg and Gettysburg, along
with Mechanicsburg's Walnut Mart, Citgo Mart and Premium Food Mart, plus
the Gettysburg Travel Center and the Getty Mart in Boiling Springs.
Entrants must be present on race night in order to win the $5000.
This will be the only Fans Dash for Cash Night in the Saturday
Night Series.
A different qualifying procedure will be used to determine the
sportsman feature lineup for this event.
The sportsman drivers will compete in time trials and the 12
fastest will be locked into the feature. Two B-mains will then be run
with the first six finishers in each rounding out the feature lineup.
Limited late models, 4-cylinder stock cars and enduro cars will
also be on the card.
The first heat is scheduled to start at 7:00 and admission is just $10.
