"Fantastic Five" Returns, Plus Gold Rush and "Terrific Twosome" Bonus
Hartford, OH July 28, 2008 Sharon Speedway will kick off the month of August with a "Fantastic Five" racing card featuring the Warren Harley-Davidson 410 Sprints, the Gibson-Governor Insurance Agency Big Block Modifieds, the Tight-Seal Glass Block Pure Stocks, Tom's Sewer and Drain Service E-Mods and the Limited Sprints. In addition, the "Terrific Twosome" bonus of the rained out Pure Stock and Limited Sprint feature events from July 12th will kick off the evening.
A Gold Rush for the kids will be held on the front stretch prior to the evening's racing action. In addition, Guarnieri and Concept Foods will sponsor the trophies for the winners of the feature events.
There have also been several changes to the remainder of the 2008 racing schedule. A $3,000 to win Open Sprint show has been added to the NASCAR Night scheduled for Tuesday, August 12th. The September 6th program will feature the Limited Sprints, E-Mods and Pure Stocks as the 410 Sprint and Big Block Modifieds will have the evening off.
The 2008 Sharon Speedway season will conclude on Saturday and Sunday September 20th and 21st with the Apple Festival Nationals featuring two days of ASCS 360 Sprint action. The BRP/Hoosier Race Tires BRP Modified Tour '08 and the Tight-Seal Glass Block Pure Stocks will complete the card.
Pit Gates for Saturday's racing action will open at 3:00PM with the Grandstand Gates opening at 4:00PM. Racing begins promptly at 6:00PM.
Adult General Admission is $11.00 with Teens (Ages 9-13) priced at $5.00. Children ages Eight and Under are Free. Pit Admission is $22.00.
