This Saturday, August 2nd Star Headlight presents the Drivers vs. Kids Ice Cream Race along with the DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds at Canandaigua Speedway.
The DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Street Stocks, PureStox, and ESDCA Mod Lites will join the card with racing starting at 7pm. The Pit area will open at 4pm Saturday, with the grandstand gates swinging open at 5pm.
Personal Seat Licenses continue to be available. Along with your personalized seat, you will also receive four DIRTcar 5-Packs. Each 5pak coupon is good for (1) admission to all regular season events. For special events, each coupon can be used as a $12 credit towards admission.
Providing another great deal for fans, single purchases of 5-Pack tickets can be purchased for $48.
Tickets for all regular season events will be made available at the gate. Adult general admission is set at $12, $10 for Seniors (Age 65+), $5 for children (Ages 10-14), and those under the age of 9 are FREE.
Pit admission for DIRTcar Northeast members will be $20, while non-members will be admitted for $25.
Last Saturday night the Big-Block Modifieds had the week off. However, after Steve Paines big win two weeks ago, the no. 7x now sits as the point leader. Paine holds a very slim 4-point edge on Gary Tomkins in the top spot. Currently, Matt Sheppard, Charlie Donk, and Chuck Bower complete the top five in the Big-Block ranks.
Long time competitor Todd Henderson visited victory lane at Canandaigua for the third time this season in the DIRTcar Sportsman Modified division last Saturday. Another feature winner, Dan Wiesner, came home in the runner-up position. Kevin Ridley struggled Saturday night, finishing out of the top five for the first time all season. Ridley still holds the point lead though by 41-markers over Wiesner. Steve Gray, Henderson, and Anthony Rizzardo complete the front runners after 11 feature events.
Adam Depuy and Marc Minutolo took victories in the DIRTcar Street Stock and PureStox divisions. A rough night for Andy Fisk handed the Street Stock point lead back over to Mike Welch, while Bryan Faulkner continues to lead the way in the PureStox division.
