This Sunday, August 3rd it’s the New York Pizzeria Drivers vs. Kids Ice Cream Race presented by HEP Sales featuring the DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds. Bring the kids to the Speedway for their chance to take on the best in DIRTcar racing.

The DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, DIRTcar Street Stocks, and BattleKarz will also be in action starting at 7pm. The pit area will open Sunday at 4pm, while grandstand gates will swing open at 5pm.

Personal Seat Licenses continue to be available. Along with your personalized seat, you will also receive four DIRTcar “5-Packs.” Each 5pak coupon is good for (1) admission to all regular season events. For special events, each coupon can be used as a $12 credit towards admission.

Providing another great deal for fans, single purchases of “5-Pack” tickets can be purchased for $48.

Tickets for all regular season events will be made available at the gate. Adult general admission is set at $12, $10 for Seniors (Age 65+), $5 for children (Ages 10-14), and those under the age of 9 are FREE.

The Big-Block Modifieds were last in action at Cayuga County Fair Speedway on June 22nd, with defending track champion Jimmy Phelps picking up the win over Matt Sheppard. With the win Phelps now takes sole possession of the Big-Block point lead over Alan Johnson, Sheppard, Steve Paine, and Justin Haers.

Last Sunday night the DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds were in action with Tom Juhl grabbing his second career win at the Weedsport oval and first of 2008. Kevin Ridley continues to lead the Sportsman standings over defending track champion Jeremy Pitcher, Juhl, Tim Currier, and rookie of the year candidate Dave Marcuccilli.

Bubba Burnell pulled into victory lane last Sunday in the DIRTcar Street Stock finale. The no. 18 of Wayne Ellison leads the point battle by 14-markers over defending champion Nick Rizzo, Steve Woodworth, Mike Welch, and Mark Alnutt.
