Thunder Mountain Speedway readies for the T3 All Stars

Posted by Tom Ames  |  08/01/08

THUNDER MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY READIES FOR THE T3 ALL STARS.

( Woodhull , NY ) The T3 All Star Series for 358 Modifieds presented by Troyer Race Cars will make their second appearance in as many seasons on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the Thunder Mountain Speedway. Due to scheduling problems with another event on the August 13 coupled with the event’s primary sponsor having other commitments as well, the event has been pushed back one week to Wednesday, Aug. 20.

Many of New York and Pennsylvania ’s top 358 Modified drivers have already indicated they have made their plans to attend the T3 All Star Series event at Thunder Mountain . Weather has plagued the fourth year touring series at every event staged thus far in 2008 with the only event officially in the record books the 5 Mile Point event which was run in late April. The June race scheduled for McKean County was scrubbed and only the qualifying heat events were completed at Little Valley before the feature event was fogged out. That event will be made up on Sept. 20.

Currently, Brad Rapp leads the T3 All Star Series for 358 Modifieds presented by Troyer Race Cars point standings and Ray Bliss Jr. was the winner of last years T3 event at T.M. as he was able to hold off the three time T3 All Star Series Champion, Billy VanPelt to claim his only win on tour.

In addition to the 40 lap T3 All Star Series feature event it will be a complete show of the Hurricane Street Stocks/Pure Stocks in a “Hurricane Qualifier” which will give the winner a guaranteed starting spot in the big Hurricane Harry Uhl Jr. Memorial race held in September.

Only the two classes will be run as it is anticipated there will be a huge turn out of 358 Modifieds and the management of both the Thunder Mountain Speedway as well at the T3 All Star Series for 358 Modifieds presented by Troyer Race Cars want to get everyone on the road home in a timely manner.

Should the necessary funding be secured a 358 Modified Dash for Cash will also be staged as part of the T3 event.

Gates for the August 20 show open at 4:00 with hot laps starting at 6:45 pm. The first green flag of the night will wave at 7:30 pm.
