RAIN STOP URC AFTER HEAT RACE QUALIFYING SATURDAY NIGHT AT DELAWARE
INTERNATIONAL
The Rislone URC Sprint Series returned to the Delaware International
Speedway on Saturday night. A field of twenty-seven sprint cars turned
out for the program. Three heat race events were presented and all
three races went off non-stop. The heats were won by Justin Collett, JJ
Grasso and Chris Coyle. Prior to the running of the URC "B" main event,
the rain started to fall and continued for at least forty-five minutes,
forcing the balance of the racing event to be cancelled. URC will
return to Delaware International on Saturday night, September 6, unless
a rain date could be arranged.
For the Rislone URC Sprints, they'll next be in action at the Penn Can
Speedway in Susquehanna, PA on Friday night, August 8. URC will be part
of the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series Grandview THUNDER 5-25's on
Tuesday night, August 12. This is a features only format and URC will
be one of five divisions showcased on this fan friendly racing program
that gets underway at 7:30 PM.
The balance of August will include race dates at the Lincoln Speedway on
Saturday night, August 16 followed by the Kasey Kahne Foundation 360
Sprint show at the Williams Grove Speedway on Tuesday night, August 19.
On Friday night, August 22, URC will return to the Williams Grove
Speedway for a regular show and close out the month on Saturday night,
August 30 at the New Egypt Speedway.
Ryan Bohlke of Freedom, NJ joined URC on Saturday as the new driver of
the Guy Howie owned 19H. Bohlke qualified sixth in the first heat race.
