ONLY FOUR SNS DATES REMAIN ON 2008 GROVE SCHEDULE
MECHANICSBURG, PA -- The Saturday Night Series is heading into the
home stretch at Williams Grove Speedway.
Following this week's August 9 program only three more SNS dates
remain on the 2008 schedule, and championships in four divisions are
still on the line.
Two-time defending champion Frankie Herr has a commanding lead in
the Sutliff Auto Group super sportsman point standings.
Herr has been remarkably consistent again this season. Through the
first eleven features he had not finished out of the top ten with nine
of those placings in the top five.
Veteran Rich Eichelberger and the division's only repeat winner,
Paul Miller, are still within striking distance of the championship, but
they will have to make something happen soon if either one is to
dethrone Herr.
Four-time feature winner Bobby Beard has opened a comfortable lead
in the A. J.'s limited late model title chase.
In the L. B. Smith Ford street stocks, Kory Sites may be on his way
to a third straight crown, but Doug Hoffman has entered the title
picture and certainly hasn't conceded the championship to the King.
The point race in the Credit Connection 4-cylinders between Dave
Leidy and Kevin Thomas may also go down to the wire.
The sportsman, late models, street stocks and 4-cylinders will be
part of the August 9 program. The first heat is scheduled to start at
7:00 and admission is ten dollars.
Remaining Saturday night Series dates include August 16, August 23
and September 20.
