Companion Ticket Promotion Announced for "Duel in the Dirt II" NASCAR Event
Hartford, OH August 4, 2008 Sharon Speedway is proud to announce a special promotion for the Time-Warner Cable "Duel in the Dirt II" on Tuesday, August 12th. In addition to featuring NASCAR drivers Kevin Harvick, Ken Schrader and Dave Blaney in competition against some of the best E-Mod drivers in the area, race fans who purchase One General or Reserved Adult Grandstand Admission will Receive Another Companion Ticket Absolutely FREE!!." This unique "Companion Ticket" promotion means that race fans will receive a Free Companion Ticket with each Adult Ticket they purchase.
"With the high cost of fuel and other everyday expenses it is hard for families to have any extra funds available for entertainment and we would like our fans to be able to come out and enjoy an affordable evening of racing action at a reasonable price," stated speedway owner, Dave Blaney.
Fans that place advance ticket orders will pick up at their tickets at the "Will Call" Tent on race day. The tent will be located near the main entrance and will open at 1:00PM on race day.
Fans who choose to purchase their tickets on race day will be also be able to take advantage of the "Companion Ticket" promotion. When they purchase an Adult Grandstand Ticket (General Admission or Reserved), they will also receive a FREE companion ticket for the evening's racing action.
For those individuals who have already purchased tickets for this event, Speedway officials will contact you and you will have a choice of picking up companion tickets at the will call window or get a free pass to the rest of the races at Sharon Speedway throughout the rest of the 2008 racing season
No other offers, coupons or discounts will be accepted for the August 12th event.
The evening's racing action will find the area's top E-Mod drivers such as Alan Dellinger, Dwayne Clay, Russ Dunn and Shawn Shingledecker battling Blaney, Harvick and Schrader in the 25 lap feature event that pays $1,000 to the winner.
The evening will also feature a complete program for the Warren Harley-Davidson 410 Sprint Division. The Sprints will compete in a 30 lap feature event that will pay $3,000 to win. Stars such as Dale Blaney, Rob Eyler, Scott Bonnell and current divisional points leader Bob Felmlee are expected to be on hand.
Dave Blaney, Kevin Harvick and Ken Schrader will also participate in a Special Autograph Session that will begin at 5:45PM and last for approximately one half hour. Fans will select which one of the three NASCAR driver's autographs they would like to receive and the fan will then receive a Special Autograph Armband for that specific driver. Each driver's autograph session will be limited to the first 150 fans. In addition each fan will be limited to two items to be autographed.

Pit Gates for the "Duel in the Dirt II" NASCAR event will open at 3:00PM with the Grandstand Gates opening at 4:00PM. Racing begins promptly at 7:00PM.
