Problems solved, now to get down to business for Coffey.
Linwood, NY – August 3, 2008
After a weekend filled with problems, Billy Coffey and the BTK Motorsports team headed back to the shop to iron out the mechanical issues they were having with the car.
This week at Paradise Speedway the car was the way it should have been. No more chain skipping, shifts hitting hard and the engine putting down some serious power.
Coffey started 6th in the heat race and dropped one spot to 7th in the finishing order. “The track was pretty dry slick and we weren’t ready for that condition” stated Coffey.
Coffey started 17th in the feature event and muscled his way up to 8th place at the checkered flag. “The car was pretty close. The gear change we made after the heat was the right selection, but we are just a bit off. We are going to dyno our engine this week to find out where we are at and adjust from there” relayed Coffey.
