Cornwall Motor Speedway cancels his August 10 show
Cornwall, On – Sunday, August 3, 2008 – Martin Bélanger – The Cornwall Motor Speedway had the Race for the Children plus a complete race program on the schedule but tonight’s program has been cancelled because of bad weather.
Some heavy thunderstorms during the afternoon have hit the Cornwall region and they did not give any chance to promoter Ron Morin and he was forced to cancel his race night.
A big program is scheduled for next week with the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRT Series for big-blocs will be in town for a 100-lap feature event, the biggest names on the circuit will be in town. This was originally scheduled for July 13 but was postponed because of rain. Also on the schedule, the Empire Super Sprints who will make their second visit of the season along with the final race of the Mohawk Race Parts and Accessories for Pro-Stock, a 50-lap feature race is on the schedule for them. The rookies will also be in action and the Semi-Pro will be off on this night.
Fans who bought their ticket for July 13 will be able to exchange them next week. The admission cost will be 30$ for adults, 20$ for students from 13 to 17 and also seniors of 65 years and plus and kids 12 years and under will get in for free. The pit gates will open at 3:30pm with general admission opening at 4pm. We suggest people to arrive early because it is one of the biggest shows of the year at Cornwall.
