Little Valley Speedway Set to Resume Late Model Chase
After a hiatus for the Cattaraugus County Fair, Little Valley Speedway is set to once again showcase the late models on Sunday, August 24th for the Super Late Model Summer Blowout. The super lates will race for a $3,000 first place check. Bump Hedman, from Sugar Grove, PA, and Warren, Pa’s Ron Davies claimed the most recent victories on July 12th and are expected back to try to beat the best super late drivers in the region. Also on the card will be the Super Stocks, with Wellsville’s Bruce Miller looking to repeat, the E-Mods, racing the third leg of the NYPA Challenge, with Ed Carley, from Freedom, looking to repeat after his thrilling win over Rich Michael Jr. on July 12th, and the Street Stocks running double features after losing their last feature to rain. Young Adam Ashcroft, from Arcade, has won three street stock features in a row and looks to keep it going. In addition, the busy night will include the mini stocks for a makeup race as well as a regular feature.
It will also be Racing Legends Re-union Night, with pioneers of the sport being honored by the speedway.
Adult admission is only $14, with those under twelve admitted free. Gates open at 3:00, with racing at 6:30. Little Valley Speedway is located at the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds on Rt. 353 in Little Valley, NY, just north of Salamanca, and eight miles from Ellicottville.
