Brewerton, NY - This Friday night August 15th the Advance Auto Parts DIRTcar Modified Super DIRT Series comes to town for a 100-Lap event, joining the Series will be the IMCA Modified Empire Series and the ESDCA Mod Lites on Canale Insurance Night.
Bring your ticket stub from Can-Am last Saturday August 9th and receive $2 off your general admission ticket price.
Coming into the race current Brewerton and Advance Auto Parts Super Modified DIRT Series point leader Billy Decker in the Gypsum Wholesalers, No.91 comes into the event on a roll. Last Saturday night at Canandaigua Speedway Decker swept both ends of the 50-lap Series event.
It won't be easy for outsiders to just come in and take the money home with them. With Decker leading the points Brewerton drivers Jimmy Phelps and Matt Sheppard sit in the top five in the series standings. Throw in speedway regulars Kevin Bates, defending Track Champion Willy Decker, Chuck Bower who has recently found added sponsorship, Jim Witko, Alan Johnson, Tommy Sears Jr. and others will make for an exciting night of racing.
Dale Caswell will lead the way in the IMCA Empire Series event. Caswell has ten-wins on the year, it has been anything but easy on a weekly basis at the Brewerton Speedway. Rob Keller, Kevan Cook, Rich Keller and JJ Courcy are always right there and a threat for the win. Drivers from other Speedways will have their work cut out for them if they expect to leave with first place money.
The ESDCA Mod Lites brings in more than a full field weekly in this lightning quick class. Doug Williams leads the way in victories (seven) but Lowell Zehr with his three-wins and consistent finishes leads the point standings. Knocking on the door every week looking for victory are top runners, Tim Devendorf, Rocco Leone, Joe Garafolo, Matt Magner, Gary Jeffries and Frank Sobotka.
Get there early this Friday if you can as this event always fills the grandstands. Gates open at 5:30. Integra Shocks Time Trails will be run before the first heat set to go at 7:30. Admission Prices are - Adults 15 and over $20 - Children 10 to 14 $10 and Children 9 and under Free. Pit admission - DIRT Members $25 and Non DIRT Members $30.
