PAUL KINNEY FIRST ENTRANT TO UTICA-ROME SPEEDWAY ’S NEW YORKER 200
VERNON, NY- Utica-Rome Speedway regular Paul Kinney, of Oneida NY , is the first driver to file an entry for this season’s New Yorker 200 which will be held on September 13 at the Vernon oval. This year will be the 19th running of the Dart Machinery New Yorker 200. Kinney, driver of Nice n’ Easy Grocery Shoppes 19k, competes weekly at the Utica-Rome Speedway and has one 358-Modified win at the Utica-Rome Speedway. Currently, he sits sixth in the weekly point standings with three top five finishes and seven top tens. Like last year, this year’s edition of the New Yorker 200 will again pay $10,000 to the winner of the premier 358-Modified event to be held on September 13. The night before on the Friday September 12, the Sportsman, Pure Stocks, and IMCA Modifieds will take center stage with their high paying events. The Sportsman will compete for an impressive $2,000 to win while the Pure Stocks will compete in their final SUNY Canton Street Stock Series show of the year at the fast half mile for a cool $1,000 to win. The IMCA Modifieds, in their only visit year of the season at the speedway, will compete in the World Products Empire State Series for $400 to win.
