Dirt Trucks take center stage at Sandusky County Fair's Fremont Speedway
FREMONT, Ohio - Many Fremont Speedway fans can remember the days when race
cars circled the historic track while the glow of rides, the smell of good
food and the sounds of the fair echoed in the background. Those memories
will be rejuvenated at the Sandusky County Fair on Wednesday, Aug. 20.
"The Track That Action Built" will come alive when the Fremont Fence Dirt
Trucks bring their ground-pounding excitement on BMS Engines/Excuses Lounge
Night. The feature event will pay the winner $1,000!
Gates to the grandstands will open at 3 p.m.and racing action will begin at
7 p.m. Of course, race fans are encouraged to come early and enjoy the
sights and sounds of the Sandusky County Fair.
Admission to the pits is $25 while those heading to the historic covered
grandstands will pay $7 to enter the fair and $5 to watch the door-to-door
racing.
The enthusiasts who restore race cars will also have their vintage cars on
display.
"We want to thank Bob Dible of BMS Engines, Jim Ward and Excuses Lounge and
Mike Dukeshire and his family for helping to put this race together," said
Fremont Speedway Promoters Rich Farmer and Andy James. "This will be a fun
night for not only the fans, but for the teams. These truck drivers are very
talented and now they get to show off their skills in front of a big
audience."
