Blaney Stretches Point Lead with Waynesfield Victory.

CAMARGO, IL (08-14-08 ) by Robert Cortum - O'Reilly All Star Public
Relations

The hottest points battle in the country continues as Dale Blaney in the
George Fisher Owned/Wrenched 2 machine takes home the $5,000 in exciting
O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions action. Blaney led the distance
in a 30 lap feature that saw no caution flags with “America’s Best”
turning consistent 11 second laps.

Blaney took the jump from his outside pole position and led pole sitter
Lance Dewease in the Catoctin 30C machine into turn one. Blaney would
continue to stretch his lead until Dewease found the sweet spot at the
top of the banked facility. Dewease would continue to close in on
Blaney finally reaching the inside of Blaney with 7 circuits remaining.
Blaney would hold Dewease off to take the checkers.

Tim Shaffer proved once again that the Call Motorsports 83A car is one
fast sprinter. Shaffer, who has won 3 feature events since taking over
the piloting duties finished a strong 3^rd . Greg Wilson in the All
Star Plumbing and Heating W20 finished in 4^th with Randy Hannagan in
the Penthouse/PocketShot.net 1X rounding out the top 5. Wilson pulled
double duty on the night supporting the 360 c.i. division and picked up
the nights win.

In the Member’s Only Dash event, Chad Blonde would take home top honors
charging from his 5^th starting position. Blonde would take in tow to
the flag stand, Blaney, Randy Hannagan, Lance Dewease, Rob Chaney, Greg
Wilson, and Paul May.

Lee Jacobs in the 59 car would garner a top finish in the B-Main.
Jacobs who is subbing for his father in that car would lead the way over
additional transfers of Rob Chaney, Dean Jacobs in the Holbrook 8, and
Tim Hunter in the 2H machine.

In Heat Race Number 1, Brock Mayes would take the checkered flag
followed by Chad Blonde and Butch Schroeder. Heat Race #2 belonged to
Dale Blaney coming from his 6^th starting position. Blaney led Danny
Smith in the Kenny Rogers throwback #18 car and Hud Horton. Heat Race 3
action got underway and it would be Byron Reed leading the pack. Reed
pulled JT Imperial and Brian Ellenberger across the line at the finish.
Heat 4 was wrapped up by Jeremy Campbell. Campbell used his outside
front row starting position to his advantage as he led the heat over
Brandon Martin and Greg Wilson.

The night’s qualifying top honors would go to Randy Hannagan. Hannagan
would cruise around the 1/3 mile in 10.569 seconds. Blaney would
qualify second fast with a 10.607 lap, and Rob Chaney was third quick
with a 10.682.

Next up for the series is a visit to Benton Race Park in Benton,
Missouri on Friday, August 15^th and then Riverside International
Speedway on Saturday the 16^th . Additional interest has been brought
to the table for these two shows as Sammy Swindell will be suiting up
and driving both nights with the series.
