NAPA 360 LATE MODEL AND MORGAN’S AUTO REPAIR STREET STOCK RACE OF CHAMPIONS QUALIFIED DRIVERS TO RACE FOR MEGA BUCKS.
(Woodhull, NY) A tradition that was started numerous years ago will continue on Saturday, August 30 at the Woodhull Raceway as it will be the annual running of the NAPA 360 Late Model and Morgan’s Auto Repair Street Stock Race of Champion events. These two high dollar, let it all hang out, short sprint events will pit all of the 2008 feature winners in each respective division in individual races.
In the NAPA 360 Late Model Class Wayne Robertson and Glen Whritenour will lead the charge of qualified drivers having won 5 feature events each thus far in 08. Jeremy Wonderling has visited victory lane three times thus far and Bruce Miller checks in with two wins. John Waters has qualified with one feature event in 2008 thus far.
In the Morgan’s Auto Repair Street Stock Division no less than seven different drivers are eligible for the winner share of the $1,000 purse with current high point leader, Brian Knowles entering the event with no less than six feature wins followed by Rookie of the Year challenger, Brett Marlatt with four trips to victory lane. Josh Nobriga has two feature wins to his credit thus far and he will be joined by Dan Gordon, Tony Foth, Zach Sutton and Rod Mullen all with one feature win in 08.
With just a few feature events remaining prior to the August 30 event several top names in each division are yet to qualify and the pressure will be on for them to make it into the Race of Champion events.
In addition to the big pay days for all the drivers involved in each class a beautiful trophy will go out the to winner of each division.
The participating NAPA Auto Parts Stores from Addison, Bath, Corning, Hornell and Lawrenceville will be at Woodhull to sponsor the night of action as it will be a Regular Big 6 Show in addition to the Race of Champion events.
