The Wednesday night shows have brought out some good crowds to witness the great racing action the smaller divisions of racing provide on a weekly basis. The fans have been very much in tune with the current crop of youngsters getting their first racing ventures underway and one visit to the speedway on a Wednesday night will give one good indication the future of racing rests in the very capable of the youngsters who are providing the excitement with the on-track racing action. The racers thermselves, whether young or mature, have found the newly refurbished raceway much to their liking and the racing is fast and the competition has been superb in all divisions competing at the speedway. Some of the current Friday evening driving stars and graduates of the Wednesday night shows focus on some names that are already preparing for their future in the racing ranks as former Slingshot ace at the speedway, the "Bushkill Bullet" Kyle Rohner has done well in his initial season in the Spec Sportsman rankings, securing a second place finish already in 2008. More recently the "Montgomery Missile" Anthony Perrego joined the Spec Sportsman division and has also secured a runnerup finish at the speedway. "Dynamite" Danny Cross, who won the final Spec Sportsman event during the 2007 racing season, has recently returned to action on Wednesday night and has shown he hasn't forgotten how to wheel his Quad around the spacious raceway. The Slingshot ranks have featured some great racing in 2008 and last week it was the lady racer Kayla Smykla showing the guys the quick way around the raceway in winning her first event of the season. Kyle Van Duser, the winner from two weeks ago, was second last week with current point leader RJ Smykla finishing third and Jimmy Babb completing the top running order.
