AIRBORNE ADDS DIRT SPORTSMEN TO FALL FOLIAGE EVENT

Plattsburgh, NY - - Airborne Speedway hadadded a special race for DIRT and CVRA Sportsman competitors to its regularseason finale Fall Foliage 200 event Sunday, September 21. DIRT/CVRA Sportsmanmodifieds are similar to Airborne’s weekly headliners, the Ernie’s ToolsModifieds, but are powered by GM 602 crate motors or spec engines.
“There’sbeen a lot of interest from dirt track teams in the chance to race on asphalt,”Airborne promoter Mike Perrotte said. “We expect twenty or more cars to attendopen practice on Saturday, September 20 and compete on Sunday.
TheFall Foliage 200 card, sponsored by Cold Spring Granite Company and Bill’s BodyShop of Plattsburgh, includes 100-lap events for the Modifieds and the J&SSteel Sportsmen.
