INSTANT HEAT WOOD PELLETS AND TWO RIVERS TIMBER PRESENT THE FINAL POINT NIGHT OF 2008 AT THE WOODHULL RACEWAY.
(Woodhull, NY) The 2008 season that started back in late April will come to a close on Saturday, Sept. 6 at the Woodhull Raceway. A regular card of Woodhull’s 6 weekly classes of competition running normally scheduled feature distances will bring the curtain down on the 2008 point season at the track. Two of the Woodhull Raceway’s biggest supporters, Instant Heat Wood Pellets and the Two Rivers Timber Company both of Addison will sponsor the event where the 2008 track champions will be determined. Also, the top ten point finishers will be finalized as well as the tracks 2008 Rookie of the Year contestants.
Instant Heat Wood Pellets General Manager, Scott Drake along with his wife, Amy have used the Woodhull Raceway extensively in 2008 to promote the upstart company. Each week throughout the year a luck race fan was awarded one ton of free Instant Heat Wood Pellets in an attempt to generate more interest in this unique form of home heating versus the more standard fossil type fuels. Two Rivers Timber owners, Kevin and Karen Chilson have been huge supporters of the Woodhull Raceway for decades and with their ownership of Instant Heat Wood Pellets it will be a great opportunity for them to showcase both businesses which are located on Rt. 417 west of Addison, NY.
It has been a very long and competitive season which has seen numerous different drivers win feature events in all of Woodhull’s Regular Big 6 Classes. The top ten point finishers will be honored at this year’s Annual Awards Ceremony as well as the top Rookies in each class. The 44th Annual Woodhull Raceway Awards Banquet is set for Saturday, November 22 at the Corning/Painted Post Holiday Inn.
Gates for the Sept. 6 event open at 4:30 with racing at 6:30 pm.
