Sportsman Rained Out Feature Rescheduled
BROCKVILLE-Brockville Ontario Speedway has rescheduled the rained out Lucas Oil Sportsman series race to Saturday, September 13th. The heats for the event were run back on August 2nd before the rains came to the track. The original plan called for the event to be run on October 18th, but that date conflicted with a Super DIRT Series for Sportsman tour stop south of the border. Track promoter Paul Kirkland got together with Sportsman drivers and series organizers and a plan that will allow drivers to choose where they would like to run that evening and still obtain show up points was agreed to. There is also a Super DIRT Series event this night in Western New York and this will allow those drivers in competition for both series not to be disadvantaged by the rainout. The Sportsman will actually now run two feature at Brockville on the 13th, the Lucas Oil makeup plus a regular night of heats and a feature. The September 13th program now includes a run what you brung, Modified feature that is always a hit with fans, the two Sportsman features, Street Stocks, Rookies, another visit from the Vintage Cars and a 20 lap Enduro. The green flag drops at 7pm. |
